GRAMMAR CHECKER

Hi, welcome to my blog! How are you ? I hope you're doing fine.

Today, I will be sharing about grammar checker. What is a grammar checker? grammar checker, in computing terms, is a program, or part of a program, that attempts to verify written text for grammatical correctness. Grammar checkers are most often implemented as a feature of a larger program, such as a word processor, but are also available as a stand-alone application that can be activated from within programs that work with editable text. Grammar check is very useful for work and teaching process. There are many type of grammar checker online such as Grammarly, Writer, Chegg and many more. Grammar checker help a lot in teaching progress and it is a lot easier to use. Before I list down the advantages and disadvantages of grammar checker, here's few grammar checker apps that I like.

The advantages of grammar checker is it's automatic, so we just need to write the words. But it only check few common errors. It is also very helpful for dyslexic people but it is very complacency. It marks words used too often which is good for user but it might find problems that don't exist. It is also free most of the time but you have to be good at spelling to use them effectively. Before we use grammar checker, we should be more careful and not just rely on the apps or online tools, because you won't learn from your mistake, it makes you lazy and sometimes it can be wrong.

Even though, it has many pros and cons, it helps me a lot doing my work. But I only use it for double check purpose and not too rely on it. Sometimes I can learn new words from this apps or online tools too. My best grammar checker apps is Grammarly since it it very user friendly and easy to use. I just need to search Grammarly on google and put my sentence and the grammar checker is automatic.

That's all for today post. I'll see you later, bye!

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN

Hello, welcome back to my blog. So in today post, I will be sharing about instructional design. What is an instructional design ?

Instructional design is the process by which learning product and experiences are designed, developed nd delivered. It is include online courses, instructional manuals, video tutorials, learning simulation and others. There are basic principles for technology based learning which is know your learners, state your objectives, establish the learning environment, identify teaching and learning strategies, identify technology and summative evaluation and revision plan. There are five types of instructional design models that I'm going to share. We have Addie Model, Assure Model, Gagne's 9 of instruction model, Merrill's principle of instruction model and The kemp instructional design model.

First, I will go through the Addie Model. The ADDIE model is a process used by training developers and instructional designers to plan and create effective learning experiences.

Addie Model is a five-phase approach to build effective learning solutions. First, analyze the instructional goals, target audience and required resources. Second, design a learning solution that aligns objective and strategies with instructional goals. Third, develop learning resources, validate and revise drafts, and conduct a pilot test. Fourth, implement the learning solution by preparing the learning space and engaging participants. Lastly, evaluate the quality of learning resources and how well they accomplish instructional goals.

Next, the ASSURE model is a teaching method or guideline that may be used by teachers to create lesson plans that incorporate technology and media (Smaldino, Lowther & Russell, 2008). The learner and the total outcome of achieving learning objectives are the emphasis of the ASSURE Model. The ASSURE model is an enhanced version of the conventional ADDIE model. Despite the fact that the ASSURE model comprises six steps, which do not exactly correlate to ADDIE's five, it still includes design phases and shares two key elements with it: the initial focus on analysis and the cyclic structure.

In Assure model, we have A for analyze learners, S for state standards and objective, S for select strategies, technology, media and materials, U for utilize technology, materials and media, R for require learner participation and E for evaluate and revise. Move to Gagne's 9. First, gain attention, second inform learners of objective, third stimulate recall of prior learning, fourth present the content, fifth provide guidance, sixth elicit performance, seventh provide feedback, eighth assess performance and lastly enhance retention and transfer.

Let's proceed with the different between ID4T. But, what is ID4T? ID4T is an innovative teaching model.  ID4T focused on specify things that make up learning goals while other models need to analyzed the needs. ID4T has clear and complete alignment between test items and objectives. Their learner they already know, how they learn and who they are while for other models, the need to analyze the learners. For design in ID4T, if the analysis identifies a performance gap, the design phase will outline the performance objective while for other models, the a learning solution that aligns objective and strategies with instructional goals. In ID4T, they use the information gathered in analysis and design phase, the performance solution is created while in other models, they develop by learning resources, validate and revise drafts, and conduct a pilot test. In implement stage of ID4T, they deliver the performance solution and evaluate the measurement of how well the performance solution achieved the objectives. For other models, they implement the learning solution by preparing the learning space and engaging participants and evaluate the quality of learning resources and how well they accomplish instructional goals.

This is the difference between ID4T and other models such as ADDIE MODEL. This is all I can share and see you on the next post.

Thank you.

GET TO KNOW ME

 Hello everyone!

Before I start sharing more information, I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Nazatul Arifah Aliah binti Rozaimi. My classmates called me Nazatul and some of them called me Arifah. I prefer Arifah more since it sounds more sweet compared to Nazatul. But, I'm okay with anything.

I was born in Malacca on 13th April 2000. I am the eldest in my siblings. I have 4 sisters and sadly I don't have any brother. Right now, I stay in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. I know Melaka is very historical place and it attracts a lot of tourist. I would like to invite you to come here. You will not regret and you will enjoy all the historical places here.

Next, I am 21 years old and I am an animal lover. Why do I say this is because I love animal so much and I have various types of pets at home such as cats, bird, fish and hedgehogs. I'm looking forward to adopt reptiles soon. If only my parents allow me. I currently study in Uitm Puncak Alam, Selangor in Mathematics Education. I know you must think of me being a teacher once you heard my course. Yeah, of course! Being a teacher is my ambition since I was in kindergarten. I used to have a blogger account since 2013 but I rewrite it today for my EDU456 subject.

Let me tell you a little bit about my EDU456 lecturer. My lecturer is a very sweet lady. I love the way she interact with us because she is very soft and she attracts me to love her subject. So, my expectation about EDU456 subject is I would love to learn many ways to attract my students and many technologies to use during my class soon and I want to be like my EDU456 lecturer, such a sweet and humble person!

That's all for today, thank you. Bye!

REFLECTION ON EDU 456

Hi, this will be my last post. I will write some reflection on this course, EDU 456. In general, this course have increased my knowledge suc...
